I have had my Yorahome 3018 for just over 2 weeks now.. bought the laser attachment a week ago second hand.
What a great machine. Easy to set up.. Worked through my mistakes and I have already made some great pieces.
I have learned everything from reading all of your posts here.
Thank you all!!

My latest project with YoraHome 3036 40w laser on leather. This is a leather A5 journal cover, engraved, then cut out, dyed the leather with a British Tan dye, glued and stitched and then a black dye on all the edges. Took sometime to do the stitching and a few mistakes here and there but quite happy with the results.

‘Go Big’, or ‘Go Home’!.
My first attempt at burning on canvas. 30cm x 40cm, and it took a bloody long time.
My computer crashed, for some unknown reason, when it was getting close to finished. I spent half a day working out how to crop the image, and restart the burn, from almost where it stopped.
I got it close, but not perfect, and that’s a lot better than redoing the whole thing.
Jimmy R.
Turned out great!

House numbers have been a success. Made it for myself and now everybody wants them. Bottom sign still needs a quick sand when the epoxy is fully cured

Christmas orders have had us working nearly around the clock so we've been unable to participate much lately. Here's a quick look into some of the items that have been keeping us busy.
Custom 60-hole cribbage boards with a peg storage pocket on the back. These aren't quite finished yet as they need stain and feet.

Having too much fun with a laser strapped to my 3018 to turn it back into a router ( the purpose it was purchased). So I had to get the 6550 tonight to continue fulfilling orders like this commission . In a timely manner lol

Look at how detailed this is! I am loving my 3018 more and more.

Using my 3018 Pro (40 watt laser), produced this Yeti thermos can holder for son's Christmas present. Didn't ever think I'd get into needle point!

Don't think that the 3018 pro is just for beginners it has awsum capabilities for routing and burning. Love it.

I did my first multiple tile burn over the last two days.
Nathan J.
My final burn of the evening. Salvador Dali. It didn't come out as dark as I had hoped. I should have double checked my focus first. The Norton Method will expose an out-of-focus laser pretty quickly. I can tell it's going to be too light when I wash the tile with lacquer thinner and it has black specs in the dissolving paint.
Nathan J.
Tonight's tile consist of another doggy burn on a black/gray tile.
Nathan J.
Tonight's addition to my pile of tiles. I saw this picture on a Facebook feed and grabbed it. I'll call it Old Time Machinist.
I'm a machinist by trade and these old black and white pictures are super cool to me. I wanted to see how an old b&w photo of relatively low quality would turn out.

Enjoyed my morning off work and done a few test carves while playing around with the speed during carving. Only using MDF at the moment while testing.
Helen J.
Hot off the laser. I’ve been quiet for a few days, been watching tutorials, tips etc etc trying to learn faster than I seem to be. I’ve used nearly all my scrap pieces of wood....think I’m getting addicted to the smell of burning wood and need to plant me a forest
Ron E A.
Made up this design and burned it on the 3018 with 5 watt laser. Added the color after the burn.
Rick H.
Here’s one I just finished 3018 pro line to line Jarvis 9000 quality 85xpower 70xspeed

Shame its so hard to photograph mirrors, but there is a unicorn in the corner!
Paul G.
Completed this tonight for a buddy of mine that owns a realty firm here in our hometown. This is just a mock up prototype so they can tell me what they want. I’m now using Lightburn software. Took a little bit to get it set up and get used to it but man oh man can you do some cool stuff. I had to adjust the power for each one of the areas because of the different fonts so that nothing burned too heavy. I’m doing all this on a 3018 Pro CNC unit with a 5.5mw laser.
Brian K.
Here is the finished product of my JD Honey Whiskey shot paddle.. I utilized both the cutter and laser. I always include my logo on the back.I really love how the inlays came out!!

So after weeks of tearing my hair out with trying to use acrylic I finally have something to show - to anyone else going through the horror of melting and breaking tools, check your material, I had been buying what was supposed to be cast acrylic and just destroyed every bit, some Perspex arrived from a different supplier and voila!!!!
Angie R.
This is my favorite project this week, it uses both carving and laser......I love this machine!
Jim R.
When we first got the machine, had a few difficulties in getting it set up and working; the initial instructions didn't match with our unit. Yorahome support responded quickly with solutions, turns out our laser unit was the higher output, and wired up differently.
The support team got us up and running quickly, and followed up to make sure everything was going well.
Since then, we've been trying different designs and settings all the time; definitely happy with the system - helping Angie's craft business grow!
