The Yora CNC Laser Engraving Machine 6550, also called "Yora 6550" is the best DIY laser engraver on the market today.
You will be impressed by its very large working area and the awesome designs you'll be able to make on wood, leather, fabric, cardboard, and more.
The key strength of the Yora 6550 is that it offers a working area of 65x50cm (26x20”), making it the ideal CNC laser engraver for everything from home use to a home business.
Boasting an all-aluminum body with an iced silver frame, the Yora 6550 gives you a premium look and feel for your machine while providing a strong and stable base for your engraving.
Equipped with a large aluminum heatsink and a powerful yet quiet cooling fan, the Yora 6550 laser can quickly dissipate the heat and keep working on your projects for many hours.
The Yora 6550 comes with either a 3W, 5.5W or 15W Yora laser module. You can use each of these laser powers to engrave on paper, wood, textiles, leather or plastics.
For the most versatility, the 15W laser is the one to choose.
The Yora 6550 control board runs on Arduino which is a very popular open source platform.
It now includes a cooling fan to better dissipate heat and maintain peak performance during the entire engraving process.
To operate the Yora 6550, a computer with software that will communicate directly with the control board of the machine is required.
For Windows users, we recommend the LaserGrbl software which is free to use. Mac users must use the LightBurn application (also available to Windows and Linux users), which comes with a 30-day trial and is an inexpensive commercial option.
These easy-to-use software packages will allow you to import your artwork (PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, etc.), edit it, apply settings like laser power, speed, number of passes, brightness, contrast, and much more.
You can laser engrave on almost anything using the Yora 6550: paper, wood, rubber, leather, slate, food, etc.
You can't engrave directly on metals and transparent materials. However, by using the 15W laser with a non-transparent coating like vinyl or black paint, our customers have successfully been able to engrave on glass, anodized aluminium and coated stainless steel.
Paper, balsa, foam, fabric, cardboard and thin leather are some of the materials you can laser cut using the Yora 6550.
If you want to explore the awesome world of laser engraving, or if you want to start a new business, grab the Yora 6550 today. You will make more money while having fun!

It can last up to 2000-5000 hours. Laser life is dependent upon operating methods and proper care. Running at full power repeatedly will greatly shorten the life of the laser due to thermal stress on the circuitry.
Keeping your laser below 80% power during normal operation has been shown to help prolong the life of the diode. We also suggest to our customers to take advantage of routine "cooldown" stages during long projects, as this will help prevent overheating. We recommend 15mn cool down every 30mn of laser running.
As they are powerful electro-optical devices with a finite life span, laser modules should be considered as a type of "consumable" item requiring occasional replacement.
A USB stick with the drivers and software to install is included with the machine, and also links to download them online if needed. You need a laptop or a desktop computer running Windows, Mac or Linux to operate the machine.
