My first real project with the silverback and also my first silverback/6550 combo.
This plaque was requested for a co worker, who was also a volunteer fire fighter, and had a tragic work related accident. Did this job probono,
All you carving veterans, be kind, lol, I know there are toolmarks.

Silverback and 6550. A friend asked if I could make this for Father’s Day. We are leaving for a two week cruise next week so worked late into the night to get done. Designed in vcarve, lasered the arms and then cut them out with jig saw. I’m pretty happy… just need to glue the arms down and spray with protector…
The YoraHome CrossRiver Benchtop CNC Router 6060 is perfect for beginners and professionals willing to take their CNC craft to the next level.
We took the SilverBack CNC and upgraded everything -the linear bearings, extrusions, ballscrews, stepper motors, Z-axis, working table, and more.
This machine can easily and accurately cut wood and non-ferrous metals like aluminum and brass.
If you want to create small or big items rapidly in batches with precise accuracy, the CrossRiver is what you need.
Very Large Working Area
Optimized for accuracy and heavy-duty milling, the CrossRiver CNC carving machine has an open working area of 60x60 cm (24x24 inches), making it easy to lay down pieces of material.
We extended the Z-axis travel to nearly 15 cm (6 inches).
High Quality Aluminum Structure
Boasting an ultra-rigid iced silver body with a T-slot Hybrid MDF and Aluminum spoil board, the YoraHome CrossRiver Benchtop CNC Router 6060 has a modern look and provides a strong and stable base for your projects.
Powerful Spindle Motor Included
The YoraHome CrossRiver Benchtop CNC Router 6060 uses a very powerful 500W air-cooled spindle motor with an ER11-style chuck to maximize the performance of your carving bits.
Compatible With Makita, Dewalt Routers & Water-Cooled VFD Spindles
The CrossRiver CNC still ships with a 500W spindle but also includes additional mounting options for:
The CrossRiver CNC Router comes with an additional mount for an optional laser module, which allows you to use the machine as a laser engraver cutter, making it a 2-in-1 system.
Excellent Performance
1. Closed-Loop Stepper Motors: With dedicated power feeds. Travel rate of up to 5000 mm/min on all axes.
2. Ball Screws: On all axes for exceptional precision.
3. Enclosed Axes: For dust control.
4. Proximity Switches: The machine will no longer jam against the frame. Proximity Sensors detect an object without touching it.
5. Emergency Stop Button: No more trying to find the stop button on your computer.
6. Z-Probe: Makes finding your z-axis work zero position when setting up a carve a breeze!
7. Drag Chains: For easier cable management.
8. Workholding included: Clamps to hold down your stock.
9. Arduino board loaded with GRBL Firmware: Works with Easel, Vectric, Carveco, Fusion 360, and other commonly available CNC software. Separate controller box with pause, resume, reset button controls.
Compatible Software
To operate the YoraHome CrossRiver Benchtop CNC Router 6060, a computer with software that will communicate directly with the control board is required.
We recommend Easel, a web-based CNC software platform that allows you to design and carve from a simple program. It is free, easy to use, and compatible with your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.
For V-carving, advanced toolpaths, and more, get Easel Pro software.
For high-quality 2D and 3D projects, we recommend Carveco or Vectric.

Another commissioned item made on my CrossRiver. This is a Sand Dollar carved in Maple and 10" in diameter. I used Easels new offering called Easel Generate which provides 3D Bars-Relief carvings complete with height maps.

Hey All,
I hope you all are doing well this week. As you know, I do work for YoraHome, but with a lot of you all do not know is that before I started working for the company I was a customer. As a matter fact, everybody who works for the company started out as a customer. We use these machines daily/weekly. That is one reason we were able to provide the technical support and sales support that we do.
As you all have seen in my recent post, I am loving the CrossRiver with the VFD spindle. This machine and spindle set up has majorly decreased my carve times. I am able to run at faster speeds and also able to run at more depth per pass. Not to mention, I can quickly switch over to laser and do everything. I wanna do all on one machine.
If you have been thinking about getting a CNC machine I strongly suggest the CrossRiver. You won’t regret it. This machine packs a major punch and is supported by people who have hands on experience and knowledge.

My first carve. Learned a lot. This was a test thanks and Daryl for all the help. A lot to improve before go to walnut 20x20 in. Carving is another level from engraving. The journey begins.
