Decided I would try my luck with carving my own makers stamp out brass. Used my 3018 pro upgraded to a 3036 with the 500 watt motor. I used a 20 degree V bit and slowed my speed way down and kept oil on the bit. Came out pretty good for a first time carving brass.

Broke out the 3018 while trying to decide to pull the pin on a 3D printer.

Haven't posted anything in a while but I am a bit proud of my son and his accomplishment so I made this to commemorate the day.

One of the couple boxes that I just finished for a couple family get togethers that my parents are hosting this summer. Done on the 3018 with the 5.5W laser.

Check it out! I finally finished something! Lol
It's got flaws all over it and my painting skills kinda suck but I'm proud of it!
Thanks to Daryl Dinkel for putting up with my endless questions and helping me with all this. Couldn't have done it without you
Bill M.
I am really enjoying this 3D carving.

Just finished this carve using eastern red cedar. The finish carve on this one was approximately 26 hours because of the detail I wanted to achieve. I’ve learned not to get in a hurry if you want a quality carving, the wait was worth it. Carved with a 3018 pro upgraded to a 3036 and upgraded to the 500 watt spindle. Everything worked perfect.

My first project. These are Awards for a Dog Trial. They are Mini Go to Ground Tunnels. I have a 3018 pro, using easel, bit I used is an 1/8 ball nose. Material is 3/4 ac plywood, sanded stained, letters painted then poly. I want to thank everyone here with all these great posts. I'm learning everyday and it's really helping. Thank you!!

Had a go at engraving on glass painted black and was quite pleased with the results. Done on the 3018pro 40w laser. Speed 900, power 400, 10 lines quality in lasergrbl. Images processed in adobe lightroom and elements first. 3 glass coasters 100mm x 100mm painted white after engraving.

Over the last two years I have been testing different ways of carving and finishing. It's been so fun and learned loads. Figured I would share a bit of my journeys finished products.
I'm a finisher by trade and carve for fun and a bit of side money. One day I hope to make it more then just my hobby and dream of upgrading to the silverback to able to expand and continue learning.

Used Easel for this project

Just a short feedback to let you know that I’ve had no issues with your product out of the box! Here is a piece I made recently for a friend. The carcass is Lapache Ipe from Paraguay ,the top is alder from the west coast of USA. The box measures 9x12 inches . The lid fit with no issues. Had to turn the settings to vertical printing but it’s all in the learning curve. Thanks for a great product.

Like my upgrade. The difference is amazing Thank you YoraHome.

Here is my finished piece. 3 panels, they are topo maps of where the wife and I met, got engaged and married. Made out of walnut that I harvested from our property a little over a year ago. Each panel is about 10 hours on the carve.

I have owned the 3018 pro for almost a year and have been honing my crafting with the router and laser. I think the Family Christmas craft gifts are going to be stepped up a serious notch this year. More to come.

I cut this live edge cheese board and filled the engraving with epoxy and Mica Powder to celebrate friends of ours visiting from the US. Maple leaves on the left and three stars (red, white and blue.) on the right for the States. My thanks to Larry Noble for the education with epoxy and also how to convert .png files to svg files.

A question for the group. I have a 3018 pro with the extension and upgraded spindle. I use Easel software. The auto cut setting seam very slow and I have been trying different manual setting but it still take a long time to carve. So asking for opinions on the setting others would use for this carve. It’s 1/8” deep and the wood is poplar. I’m use a 1/8” and a 20 degree bit.

Just a different technique I wanted to throw out there if it will help any of you I had done the different stains and things on the CNC project so I decided to try and paint one and see how it came out I am very happy with it and it was pretty easy to do. I spray painted the project and then hit the highlights with a new product I wanted to try called rub and buff it came out pretty well I think and definitely open the door to try the technique on other projects as well.
Andrew B.
Just completed this today.

I work with Barrel Wood. White Oak from whiskey, wine, bourbon etc. So none of the wood we work with is flat, square, straight but it’s all hard wood. A customer saw a stave I drilled for Blanton Bourbon corks and said why don’t you make a carousel? Well I made it with a twist…

I am loving the 3018 PRO. It’s taking a while to figure out all its nuances. Trial and error but overall it’s doing exactly what I want it to do. These are gifts for my great niece and nephew. Small plaques for their rooms. They loved them!

I have had my YoraHome 3018 for exactly 1 week now and I can't stop playing with it.
A few mistakes I was able to salvage but I think I have it figured out now.
All this I did with the 1 size bit that comes with the machine.. might be time to order the big router bit set .

After a week of almost giving up I finally feel like I’m making progress.

Some projects I’ve been working on. These key holders are a paid job. One name is spelled wrong only because I copied it just as it was written. Payers fault. She is purchasing a new one. She doesn't want to stain them, so I will use the error to stain and show her how beautiful they can be.

Some hanging tree decorations for the family. 3mm birch ply.
Made on the 3036 with 40w super duper laser beam firer!

Really happy with the end results despite a few mistakes. The worst was a bad centering job on the router drilling holes for the Train Station board.
