Just a different technique I wanted to throw out there if it will help any of you I had done the different stains and things on the CNC project so I decided to try and paint one and see how it came out I am very happy with it and it was pretty easy to do. I spray painted the project and then hit the highlights with a new product I wanted to try called rub and buff it came out pretty well I think and definitely open the door to try the technique on other projects as well.
Andrew B.
Just completed this today.

I work with Barrel Wood. White Oak from whiskey, wine, bourbon etc. So none of the wood we work with is flat, square, straight but it’s all hard wood. A customer saw a stave I drilled for Blanton Bourbon corks and said why don’t you make a carousel? Well I made it with a twist…

I am loving the 3018 PRO. It’s taking a while to figure out all its nuances. Trial and error but overall it’s doing exactly what I want it to do. These are gifts for my great niece and nephew. Small plaques for their rooms. They loved them!
Ian J.
A leaving present for a colleague. He's a canoeist and is joining a forestry firm.

William G.
Well carving is done after many hours still working on proper bits and depth. Getting closer not to bad
Devita J.
We have a fallen police officer here in my county his number was 904 ! I will put San and seal on this & I believe I may place blue resin around it!

I have had my YoraHome 3018 for exactly 1 week now and I can't stop playing with it.
A few mistakes I was able to salvage but I think I have it figured out now.
All this I did with the 1 size bit that comes with the machine.. might be time to order the big router bit set .
Mark T.
After a week of almost giving up I finally feel like I’m making progress.

Some projects I’ve been working on. These key holders are a paid job. One name is spelled wrong only because I copied it just as it was written. Payers fault. She is purchasing a new one. She doesn't want to stain them, so I will use the error to stain and show her how beautiful they can be.
Peter W.
Some hanging tree decorations for the family. 3mm birch ply.
Made on the 3036 with 40w super duper laser beam firer!
Jeffrey B.
Really happy with the end results despite a few mistakes. The worst was a bad centering job on the router drilling holes for the Train Station board.
James C.
My first carve! Black walnut slab, 3mm deep carve, then painted, sanded, and sealed the top. Gonna be a wedding present!
Ordered my machine about 10 days ago… came in two days ago! Super easy to put together! I’m gonna wear this machine out quickly… I already have like 10 projects planned. Hahaha!
Ian J.

I’ve really come to enjoy the carving + resin combination. We have way too many door to door sales people in our neighborhood. Soooo this was completed today.

Joe D.
My first work on my 3018 on red oak. First with a 1/8 2 flute then a 20⁰ v-cut for the details. 100 feed, 150 plunge and .3 depth.

This came out perfectly!
Jeffrey B.
Well, we finally did a project that combined our 3018 router and 65100 laser ...
Solid Maple wood.
Brian N.
First tiling project completed on the 3018. Used 1/8 bit (down cut) 1mm bit, 90 degree v-bit. It’s on a piece of mdf, 25x5”. 5 tiles, but I did each tile several times for diff parts with diff bits.
Sometimes the Oramask would shred, sometimes it was sharp. The little spots in some of the cursive letters didn’t paint so well, and I mid-measured once which is why there’s some extra cuts on the L’s. Learned a lot.
Peter B.
My father passed away 10 months ago, my mom asked me to make his urn. I bought my 3018 to do this. I practiced making a few things when I realized I need the expansion kit. The machine made it easy and I think it turned out well.
Devita J.

I copied an idea from someone's earlier Yorahome post and created this one on a live edge piece of cedar. Next I'll assemble a small box and place it on the back so that an arrangement of flowers (pots) can supplement the signage. Birthday gift for my wife.
James D.
I'm sure we all have been there when we started using our cnc machine venture so I thought I would make it.
Willeke A.
Tried carving on something other then wood! This is actually leftover flooring from a Reno project.
Brian C.
My very first carve is getting there. Detailing with a 1.2 mm bit takes a while and easel isn’t using the most efficient tool paths time wise lol
Jim D.
Happy with how this came out

This is the final product I was working with the 3d relief carve on. I think they're called valet trays. He didn't really get a good angle on the finished piece so I included my last test run to give a little better view. The wood is cherry and the finished piece is using mohawk cherry stain with a light coating of tung oil. I'd used colonial maple on the test. They were both finished with an oprbital sander a very fine grit, low RPM dremel sanding cone and then low RPM dremel buffing bit to bring out some more highlights.
Carveco did great on this, but I also downloaded Fusion 360 free and an image->relief add-on so I'm practicing with that now.
Made my first $100! (I did like 12 ten hour practice and tweeking runs, not to mention the 15 or so hours learning the process, but next time it'll be quicker!)
Vicky S.
I'm getting addicted to carving acrylic on my 3036 using the diamond bit!
Darren W.
New project bit of a faff with the paint side
1300/60% on painted wood children’s chair
Blue painters masking tape then left on and painted with acrylic paint then removed when almost dry going to need a little touch up here and there as the yellow paint shows the burn lines just needs building up a bit but otherwise pleased
Donny B.
