I recently purchased the new SilverBack Air Assist. Boy, what a difference that has made to my clean burns and the ability to cut through. This is a trivet for placing hot items on the table/countertop. Made of four layers and about 5/8" thick. 7"x7" in diameter.

Carving walnut today. Can’t wait to pour epoxy in them!

I recently completed a project using Black Walnut for the first time. The project involved cutting a large board that measures 18"x16" and is 1 1/4" thick. What's amazing to me is that I personally selected this piece of wood last year when it was still a tree in the ground. The piece has live edge on two sides.
Thanks to Larry Noble for the inspiration to use the green Resin.

Finished this one up today !!! I like the way it came out, nice detail !! # Silverback

The Dusty Woodworker .
Carved these crescent moon catchalls & nesting round catchall on the Silverback 6060. I used a 1/4" downcut bit on the moon tray, 1/2" bowl bit on the round trays. Crescent moon File was purchased from etsy. Used the 6550 pro to laser the moon sequences graphic in the pocket of the round catchall. I adjusted the step over to 20% and had very little sanding. These machines have such huge capability. Best investment I ever made!

This is a recent project of mine using my Silverback and 80w laser.
It consists of four layers of 3/16" Maple plywood two of which were stained darker brown than the natural Maple of the other two. And then glued together. It makes a nice trivet. You can see the different levels and detail in the close up image.

Just completed a large router-cut Pirate Ship clock for my garage on my Silverback. It's made entirely with scraps of Mahogany glued together that I found around my workshop.

Wanted to post these hardwood catchalls, created on my Silverback 6060. I am a Woodworker first, so stage 1 was cutting the hardwood strips to size, glue ups, then machining and finishing. This machine is an awesome investment. Can't say enough about the incredible support the company & this group has to offer. I'm easing into semi-retirement for health reasons (kicking & screaming lol) but was honoured to win a Platinum award in Carpentry & Woodworking as voted by our local community. Thank you YoraHome! Kim Q. ❤️

After a steep learning curve, I finally finished the first carve on my Silverback. This is a clock for one of my wife’s friends that is retiring. Just put the final coat of polyurethane on it and will then do the final assembly of the clock components.
Overall, I’m impressed with the Silverback and its functionality. Easel was pretty easy to use after a few dozen YouTube videos. Still more to explore.
A big thanks to Daryl Dinkel for all his help and all the rest of the folks on here that chimed in and helped answer all my questions. This is a great group of people.
On to the next carve.

It is very possible to work with thick materials. This piece was rough cut piece of cedar over 3” thick. I used the Silverback to plane it down on both sides to get it where I wanted it. After completing the job it is a 1.75” thickness.
Joe M.
I made this one for all the incredible teachers out there, especially the ones on yorahome fb page. Thank you

I have a bone to pick with Yorahome. Nowhere in any manual or on the website or in any group does it say “OUR PRODUCTS MAY CAUSE DIVORCE”, I can’t find it anywhere atleast ♂️. Anyway, here are some things I made while I was living in my shed this month

I do make a few things other than boards. The round holes and the cigar trough are old school. Drill press and router table. The logo coasters are interchangeable.
