I hit a few learning hurdles along the way but my first project on the silverback is completed. Anyways, I'm pretty happy with this silverback and pumped about its potential.

First large cut. For my buddy’s man cave.

Completed a couple more boards today. Gave my silverback a tune up today, just ensuring everything is squared and tight. These boards are perfect.

Silverback 6060
Love this machine

First wood carve I’ve attempted on my silverback, this machine is truly amazing. I’m very impressed with the accuracy of it, this carve took an hour and 14 min from start to finish. After It was completed I stained the wood, then sanded it down again so the high points were not stained then stained just the outside potion of it. I think it really made the design pop a lmore. Very happy with this silverback machine.

So I built myself a table with locking caster’s for my Silverback, Took it one step further and made a folding laptop shelf. The table my CNC came with from the guy I bought it from was to big to fit in my house but also looked rough. So over this past weekend I went and bought supplies and built my own table then today added the folding laptop shelf. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I’m no carpenter but feel like I built a solid table for my machine, I think I’m gonna build a shelf directly under where the controller is sitting for the controller to sit and be outta the way but still in reach if I need to hit the emergency stop button.

Finally got the Silverback assembled... kinda. Bought it last summer and it's been in my garage while shop was being built. I put it together to get a better idea of what size tables I'm going to need for it and the 6550 laser I also purchased. Soon...

I've been at this for 3 weeks, huge learning curve for me! FINALLY HAVE A PROJECT I CAN SHARE.
Tim B.
Making a “Dont Mess With Texas” sign. Still learning but I am loving this SilverBack.
Chuck L.
Made this nursery sign for a neighbor. It’s 34” x 17” and it took me way too long to make it. My obsession to get it “perfect” got the best of me. I was so nervous they won’t like it once they have it that I almost didn’t give it to them. I think calling a job done and moving on is harder than making the stuff lol.
Shawn N.
Created my first Bathymetry 3D image, and put the silverback to the test! Used a cracked cedar oval to try it out and carved this guy in under an hour! The oval isn't sanded, no added epoxy, or clear coated, just wanted a proof of concept. Thanks Tony Paolillo, for helping with setting this up in VCarve.
Nick T.
Running some spring projects today!

Hello all! Glad to be part of this group. I’m new to CNC and just picked up a SilverBack 6060 on Friday night. I’m starting to learn the software and made my first few cuts. I do RC drag racing and am using my CNC to make wings for the drag cars so I don’t have to make them by hand anymore. I’m really liking this machine and I’m just getting the hang of it.
Here are a few things I made in the first 24 hours of owning the machine
The wings still have protective film on them until they need painted.

Very first glass edging actually very first project. Done with my SilverBack 15W

This is a gift for a teacher being inducted into the Southgate schools Hall of Fame.

My first attempt at a multiple bit sign. Lot a learning still to do. Didn’t do the vCarve deep enough, didn’t get the bit change zeros perfectly set, tool marks, painting, the lia goes on of what is wrong. But I’m putting myself out there anyway.
Carlos Q.
Finish these beauty & get I ready for a new home. Done with the Silverback 1mx1m. Epoxy inlays.

Here's a SILVERBACK project with a retro touch. 1/4" Birch ply, with veneer edge banding to hide the ply. Everything cut with a 1/2in 60deg V-bit, tool paths done in V-carve used easel as my post processor, Black epoxy fill, dark walnut stain, 2 coats of clear lacquer to bring the shine.
Dan B.
Just got my Silverback; I'm looking forward to learning all I can to get my business started!

Just completed a project using most of the capabilities of the SilverBack. The project is a Charcuterie Board that has a drawer with 4 cheese knives in it.
1. I engraved the board itself for the customer using the laser.
2. Then I cut out a holding jig for the four knives using the router. This was done by sketching the outline of the knife, then using image trace in Easel to cut out the shapes for a firm seating.
3. Lastly back to the laser to finishing the customers last name on the handles of the knives.
I'm quite happy with the results.
Colin P.
Done with the SilverBack!

Today’s carve… getting pretty good results with the amaña bits I’m using for roughing and the detail 3d pass…. Ordered two more of same bit so have backups because I like

Another carve on my SilverBack
Don K.
Some of my first carvings. Definitely a learning curve but also addictive.
Shawn N.
Sometimes the simplest engravings are the best. End grain cutting board with my logo engraved. The engraving is about a 1 x 1, and the tiny letters are mm's in size. soaked in mineral oil, no wax yet. Engraved after oil dried.
Carved the juice groove with the 6060.
Kimberley Q.
So stoked!! I had a customer order a barrel hoop sign as a gift for a local food truck. It's a wine barrel hoop with a piece of live edge local pine attached to the hoop. It came out perfectly! I set up in Easel to create the file. I used the standard 20degree v bit that came with my Silverback 6060. Took just under two hours to carve as I only went 1/8" depth. The recipient is thrilled and that's all that matters to me❤️
Denis B.
Got my 6060 assembled today almost ready for testing, I'm completely new to this but experience in wood working and vinyl signs.
Kimberley Q.
I have been creating these barrel hoop signs for a few years now. This is my first all CNC carved. I used live edge pine, and carved first, then aged it all with a vinegar based gray treatment. The live edge pine is then attached to the whiskey or wine hoop ready to hang just doing a lasered one next. Completed on my awesome Silverback 6060 with a 60degree v bit. Took a little over 2 hours to carve❤️
Shawn N.
Turned out pretty well, except for some chipping, which I was expecting since I had the machine pushing 60 inches a minute with a 0.04 cut depth. Not deep, but beech is brittle.
Shawn N.
Here is my first carve on my new silverback, first carve ever actually, lol. Love the machine!
Stuart C.
A small job for a fly fishing mate and his group “Troutfit” this will be a perpetual trophy for their “two lure” comp. It paid a months subscription to Easel so pretty happy, it’s my first paid job on the Silverback 6060.
Matt R.
Today is gonna be a fun day!
Aaron H.
Trial and error getting better but I messed up forgot period after the "s".

Live edge eastern red cedar "I'd rather be fishing" sign. Cedar burns so beautifully and is naturally resistant to rot & insects. Done on my awesome Silverback 6060, 40w laser.
Kimberley Q.
Live edge black cherry charcuterie board with two engravings. Done on my Silverback 6060 with the 40watt laser.

Today’s carve for my son.
Kimberley Q.
I love this graphic on live edge red cedar❤️part of an order for outdoor signage. Took an hour on the Silverback 6060, 40w laser. Created in Inkscape, exported as a PNG to lasergbrl. Love my machine
Craig P.
Order for a local bar finished, 6060 silverback.
Aaton H.
Probably my best carve yet since getting the silverback, getting better 1 carve at a time.
Kimberley Q.
Very pleased with the laser engraving on this piece of live edge black cherry❤️I created the file in Inkscape but when I sent it to Lasergbrl the bottom and top of the "h" in "home" was cut off. I went back to inkscape, chose edit, select all and under path selected combine. Solved that!I will work on positioning it better next time. Done on my Silverback 6060 with the 40w laser.
Don K.
First finished carve with hackberry on my new Silverback. A very unique grain.
Tracey S.
I’m pretty pleased how this ended up. Just need to poly urethane now…. My first 3D project-STL file.
Jeremy K.
Since I was a slacker yesterday and decided to spend the day getting wind therapy I figured I better get up and get some work done this morning. I believe this is one of my favorite things I have done yet. This was done on the 6060 Silverback 6mm for roughing and 1.5mm ball nose for the finish.

Richard J.
Did this today. 35 min of machine time. Still loving the silverback.
Kimberly Q.
February contest!! February is about love and these are my two loves Cody & Casey, my rescue dogs❤️They were my inspiration to try my first 3D carve. Finished this up just now off my Silverback 6060. I am so stoked at the possibilities going forward. I used a 60 degree v bit 3/8". I would use a longer length of wood next time and will try some different fonts until I get it perfect! I'm not much of a painter but I will treasure this one because it's my first successful 3d carve❣️ I stood watching the carve, mesmerized by the toolpaths Such a great machine so happy I took the plunge!
William G.
Well I had to put the monkey in a cage trying to quiet things down for those late night carving.
Richard J.
Did this small wavy flag today. It's always amazes me how the silverback does what I tell it to do.

Done with my SilverBack.

My latest practice carve on my Silverback 6060.
Stuart C.
Another practice carve 2 1/2 hours, discovering free .svg files for plaques but still not mastered curves text. I may have to import from another program into Easel.
Ply finished with a rubbed off Merbu Cabot’s stain.
Stuart C.
From this to the final product, I used Inkscape to convert to a svg still very much a beginner, this is my 4th “successful” carve on the Silverback.
William G.
So far happy with the up grade to the Silverback Makita router chewing it up
