What is 3D printing and how does it work?

3D Printing is what is known as an "additive manufacturing process"; where the CNC Router removes material to create your design, the 3D printer adds material to build your design.

The 3D printer melts a filament at a temperature of around 200 deg C and dispenses the molten material through a nozzle in layers, building up the desired design. As the material cools, your design hardens and becomes a reality!
