Yesterday’s project for my 40w, 3036.
Burnt some wooden spoons for my granddaughters cheer club. They wanted something to give, to the team with the lowest score, at their upcoming quiz night.
Each took 25 mins to burn at 1200mm / min, 30% power. The result was quite pleasing.

Love making things with my 3036!

Tenuous link but I used my 3036 to make some timber effect for the door and the outhouse door. You don't have to use it to make a full item. You can use it for some parts only.
As a woodcarver it complements my craft perfectly.

Finally getting the hang of this stuff! Thank you everyone for your help. I’m sure I will have plenty more questions to come. I still have to do finished products on these but successful cuts for sure!

I don't remember if I posted this or not when it was fresh cut but it's now finished and ready for a new home.

Got my laser shield fitted to my 40w on the 3036. Put together my ventilation and it all works great. Did these earrings to try it out.

Here's a couple boxes I made on my 3036. Used Vcarve and STL files to make gcode and imported to easel for carving. Lumber is just treated pine and finished with lacquer.

I’m enjoying playing and seeing what the 3036 40w can do on wood rounds, cut sustainably, from my own trees. Grown from seed, 35 yrs ago, and now producing lovely pieces of art.

I'm quite proud of my first carve. I went into this project with both feet and ordered the 3018 Pro expansion kit at the same time as the 3018 Pro. My first project was this tool caddy made from scrap pallet wood glued together and went on from there.
Lessons learned so far is not to make the lettering too small because the letter centre's chip out ("o, d" for an example). Another lesson is to not forget to move the gantry forward when assembling the extention. (Had to ask for help on that one. Thank you Jim Rarey)

Thank you YoraHome, I finished my first project and I love it.
