CNC routers are fantastic tools to use but some basic requirements are needed before being able to operate and use them to your satisfaction.

You don’t have to worry about your answers. Just be honest!

If you answer a question with a "yes", give yourself 1 point. A "no" will be scored as a zero.

3. Do you know how to download, unzip and install computer files and programs?
4. Do you enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems?
5. Do you have experience or are you willing to learn the softwares we recommend that are easy to use?
6. Do you know or are you willing to learn the process of setting up a workpiece, and learning about which type of bits is best suited to carve different kinds of surfaces?

What is your score ?

You don’t have to have a perfect score to own a CNC.

But, if your score is less than 3, you should think carefully before making a purchase.

Understanding the challenge you’re about to undertake is important to your success.

The good news is if you're patient with your self, any mistake you make or problem you face will become a wealth of experience that increases your skill and the quality of the projects you design and create.
